20,000 Leagues

This project, “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea,” was the title of my 2022 Portfolio entry into the International Garden Photographer of the Year Competition. Each image reminds me of an otherworldly, tropical exploration where it takes my eye some time to recognize what I am seeing.

 

The areas photographed are quite small, and multiple images with progressive focal points are stacked using Zerene Stacker software to create these detailed tiny landscapes. I prefer to print these in the 40-60 inch range, depending on composition, so that nature’s richness can be easily seen.
